Continue your nursing education and connect further with an MSN degree.

MSN Program

An MSN degree will help you gain advanced skills and leadership abilities which opens many opportunities leading to enhanced career satisfaction and financial rewards. Specific preparation as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist offers new clinical role opportunities as well as careers in education. Take your education to the next step by applying your knowledge and experience at a higher level.

The new Master of Science of Nursing (MSN) program at Emory & Henry College prepares nursing students and professionals for additional healthcare and teaching career opportunities.

Apply through NursingCAS

Come join the next class of students starting fall 2024! Applications go live on September 1, 2023.

The application fee is $60 with a need-based fee waiver available through NursingCAS or email Natalie Blankenship at nlblankenship@ehc.edu for additional information regarding an application fee waiver.

Emory & Henry’s MSN program is achieved through online learning with on-campus intensive experiences at the Health Sciences campus in Marion. There are two MSN tracks to choose from:

  • Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) / Nurse Educator (NE)
  • Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Both tracks lead to eligibility for Advanced Practice Licensure; Licensed Nurse Practitioner (L-NP) in Virginia and additional licensure everywhere else in the United States.

The MSN curriculum offers an accelerated pathway option from an associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) to MSN. Six credits required for the BSN can be substituted for courses taken at the master’s level.

Obtaining an MSN opens additional career opportunities. In addition to gaining advanced knowledge of serving in healthcare, the Emory & Henry MSN program prepares students to teach nursing as a profession after graduation.
