    Emory & Henry College Theatre Department announces the upcoming production of “All the Natalie Portmans,” a groundbreaking play presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. This captivating production, directed by Assistant Professor of Theatre Patrice Foster, is set to take the stage at The McGlothlin Center for the Arts at Emory & Henry College in the Black Box Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 28-30 and at 3 p.m. on Oct. 1.

    Emory & Henry had a strong showing in the U.S. News & World Report, Best Colleges for 2023-24, earning the number 21 spot of the Best Colleges amongst 135 peer institutions. Emory & Henry was also ranked #13 for Best Undergraduate Teaching Programs among regional universities in the south and #68 for Social Mobility moving up nine spots amongst its peers.

    After welcoming more than 1,100 students to its Emory, Va. campus, Emory & Henry held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 12, at University Apartments, its newest apartment-style living complex, adding 96 new beds to its inventory in the fall of 2023. After the ceremony, attendees had the opportunity to tour the new living spaces.

    Emory & Henry is hosting Community Day, sponsored by Utility Trailer located in Atkins, Va., inviting the community to enjoy the return of Emory & Henry football to Fred Selfe stadium as the Wasps play the first home game of the season on Saturday, September 23 beginning at 1 p.m. Emory & Henry is also hosting the Blue & Gold Open House from 9 a.m. to noon alongside Family & Friends Day events hosted by the Office of Student Activities.

    The 2023-24 season of the McGlothlin Center for the Arts is sponsored by Edeltraut Gilgan-Hunt in honor of her late husband, Dr. Earl Stephen “Steve” Hunt, a “Renaissance man,” whose interests ranged from the arts to international education and whose love of Emory & Henry has touched many throughout the college community.
