Study Room Policy

General Policies and Procedures

  • Library study rooms are only available to EHC students, faculty, and staff; patrons must use an @ehc.edu email address to make a reservation
  • Patrons can reserve a study room for up to two (2) hours a day
  • Patrons may reserve rooms for six (6) hours total for any given week
  • Rooms may be reserved up to one week in advance
  • Posted maximum occupancy of the room must be observed at all times
  • Patrons may stay beyond their reserved time if there is no subsequent reservation AND no one is waiting for a room to use
  • Reservations will be forfeited after a 10-minute grace period
  • If they are not reserved, study rooms will be available on a first-come, first-available basis
  • Patron(s) without reservations in a study room must leave when requested by a patron with proof of a valid reservation (study room key or reservation confirmation email) if it is not after the 10-minute grace period
  • Rooms cannot be reserved or held by placing personal belongings in them; unattended items will be removed and sent to the College’s Lost and Found
  • Any obstruction of windows is prohibited; lights must remain on when the room is occupied
  • Furnishings may not be brought into or removed from a study room
  • Please clean up and leave the room ready for the next patron

Kelly Library Procedures

  • Six (6) study rooms are available on the second floor
  • Reservations must be made in person at the front desk or by calling 276-944-6208
  • Study rooms keys are checked out at the front desk for two (2) hours
  • Please return or renew your key at the end of the two (2) hour period

HS Library Procedures

  • Six (6) study rooms are available on the third floor
  • Reservations must be made online
