Lisa Moosmueller-Terry

Director of the Equestrian Center Equine Studies

Lisa Moosmueller-Terry led the Intermont IDA teams to national championships in 2006, 2007, 2010, 2014 and a reserve national championship in 2009.

She worked with the teams that earned 3 national championships in IHSA in 2004, 2005, and 2007 as well as the ANRC team that was champion in 2004 and reserve champion in 2014.

A graduate of Virginia Intermont College with a B.A. in Equine Studies, she worked as an Olympic show jumping groom and as a manager and trainer at an FEI level dressage barn before returning to teach and coach at Intermont. While at Intermont she completed the development of the dressage program and was instrumental in developing the Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning minor.

Inducted into the IDA Hall of Fame and named Coach of the Year, she was among the first members of the IDA’s Board of Directors - where she serves as vice president and regional representative.

Additionally, she is an American Riding Instructor Level III certified instructor in hunt seat and dressage, and is certified at Level I with EAGALA.
