Cleo Burgess

Adjunct Professor (American Sign Language)

I have my MA in Secondary Education from Old Dominion University and a Deaf Education degree with a minor in Interpreting from The University of North Carolina-Greensboro.

I teach American Sign Language here at E&H. I also teach high school ASL classes and have taught levels 1-4.

I believe that learning about other cultures does not always mean learning about a different country. Deaf people are here in the United States and all over the world. I believe in being able to communicate with those that you will encounter in your daily life, and Deaf people are a big part of that group. I hope to get students as excited about the Deaf community as I am.
