Art Facilities

Whether you are showcasing for masses, or intimately performing for an audience, we’ve got a space for you.

MCA Art Gallery

The MCA Art Gallery hosts rotating visual arts exhibits by emerging and nationally acclaimed artists. The artists exhibited include a wide array of quality art media and philosophies with the primary intent of introducing exhibitions not normally seen in our region.

The Rena Lynch Wrenn ’43 Permanent Collection Gallery

This gallery located adjacent to the MCA Art Gallery is a rotating exhibit of the school’s permanent art collection.  Students enrolled in the museum studies classes have the rare opportunity to curate, design and install shows exhibited here.

Kennedy-Reedy Theatre

Art, music, and theatre all come together on the main stage. The 461-seat theatre located inside the McGlothlin Center for the Arts was recently completed in 2015.  The state of the art proscenium stage is equipped with a fly system, and allows for it to be used in numerous creative ways.

Black Box Theatre

The 120-seat Black Box theatre is located on the second floor of the McGlothlin Center for the Arts.  It provides audiences with an intimate theatre experience, while it offers students alternative opportunities for staging and set design.  The theatre space can be transformed to account for various types of performances.

Byars Hall

Byars Hall –the oldest academic building on campus–serves as the hub for fine arts here at E&H. The three-story building includes classrooms, studios for painting, photography and printmaking, digital art lab, musical rehearsal halls, and private piano practice rooms.  It also houses the student galleries, where graduating art majors hold their senior exhibition shows.

Memorial Chapel

In addition to the MCA, Memorial Chapel plays host to numerous musical performances throughout the year.  Its beautiful sanctuary provides an excellent venue for student and faculty recitals, choral and brass ensemble performances as well as guest artists.
