The mission of the Office of Research Compliance (ORC) is to support and promote ethical research practices at Emory & Henry.

The ORC is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of operational policies and procedures related to human subject protection, animal welfare, and research safety.  The ORC partners with faculty, staff, students, and the administration with the fulfillment of their responsibility for sustaining compliance with pertinent laws, regulations, and guidelines, and institutional policies. 

Two important committees serve Emory & Henry in this capacity:  the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).
