Transfer Requirements
Every engineering program is different!
Investigating the transfer requirements of your school(s) of choice will maximize your chances of success.
Transfer applicants should be good students overall with a very strong background in mathematics and the sciences. Applicants should display consistent performance in high school and college-level classes, all of which serve as indicators for the ability to manage time and the course work required for success in any engineering program.
Commonly required courses include:
- Calculus-based introductory physics (2 or 3 semesters)
- Calculus sequence
- General Chemistry (at least 2 semesters)
- English or humanities or social sciences
- GPA of 3.0 or higher, especially in the math and sciences courses (varies by school and by field of engineering)
Recommended courses may include:
- Linear Algebra
- Differential Equations
- other advanced mathematics, physics, computer courses based on the chosen field of engineering
