The Leadership Emory & Henry leadership development program invites students, faculty, and staff from historically underrepresented backgrounds, including first-generation students to enhance and develop key leadership skills in the area of diversity, equity and inclusion. The program provides participants who may have experienced educational disparities with opportunities to increase awareness through leadership development, civic engagement and social justice advocacy.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at Emory & Henry College embraces the intersectionality of the human experience and includes qualities such as race, gender, ethnicity, physical ability, nationality, age, religion, sexual orientation and first-generation status in higher education, economic status and veteran status. Important socially and historically marginalized attributes reflect the complexity of our ever-increasing diverse student body, local community and worldwide population.
