Plans for Return to Campus Underway

Emory & Henry has announced plans to return to in-person learning on August 16, 2021 with a normal academic calendar, increased face-to-face instruction and recreational campus activities.

“Our priority remains the health and safety of the Emory & Henry community,” said Ryan Bowyer, associate provost, dean of students and chair of the COVID-19 task force. “The task force has been monitoring the situation and is optimistic that we can return to a sense of normalcy soon.”

A 10-week summer semester offering two, five week terms remotely and in-person started May 17 and all staff returned to campus at that time.

Emory & Henry Athletics will learn more from the NCAA in mid-summer regarding its move from Division III to Division II and in the meantime is filling game rosters and scheduling play for 2021-2022.

  • Students Participate in “Shaping Our Future”

    E&H students and faculty joined more than 35 colleges and universities to take part in the nation’s largest deliberative democracy event for young people. The virtual event hosted by Stanford University, Berggruen Institute, and Equal Citizens brought 1,500 young people together for democratic deliberation, rather than partisan debate.
