Men’s and Women’s Wrestling Reach National Championship Meet in First Year of Competition

Members from both the men’s and women’s wrestling teams qualified for national-level competition in the program’s first season over the winter.The E&H men sent four wrestlers to the NCWA National Championships while one woman qualified for the NCWWA National Championships. Freshman Levi Field (Manassas, Va.) became the program’s first All-American, taking seventh place in the 157-pound weight class. On the women’s side, junior Andreia Langley (Chilhowie, Va.) was one bout away from receiving All-America honors, tying for ninth place at 191 pounds.

The inaugural lyceum event was productive, resulting in many students from the College receiving interviews at Food City’s corporate offices, CGI federal consulting and Enterprise holdings.
