In-person Commencement Held on May 8

In-person commencement ceremonies were held May 8 at Fred Selfe Stadium, following new guidance from Governor Northam.

The Class of 2021 graduated in a ceremony at 10 a.m. with 226 diplomas received, and a celebration was held for the Class of 2020 at 2 p.m. Guests adhered to health and safety guidelines and the ceremonies were live-streamed.

“We were thrilled to be able to have an in-person commencement ceremony to safely celebrate our accomplished graduates,” said President Dr. John W. Wells. “Our students have persevered through a trying time, and we are proud of their achievements.”

A series of recognition ceremonies were held on Friday, May 7, sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
