Withers Named Dean of Arts and Sciences

Dr. Lisa Withers, associate professor of music, is enthusiastic about her new role as dean of the E&H School of Arts and Sciences.

“I am extremely excited to provide leadership and support for the faculty and students as we continue to build on our long tradition of innovative teaching and learning that prepares students for success and meaning in their careers and lives after graduation,” said Withers.

“Our goal in creating this new position is to ensure that the arts and sciences disciplines remain vibrant, relevant and innovative,” said Dr. Michael Puglisi, E&H provost.

A member of the E&H music faculty since 2002, Withers has served as chair of the Music Department, chair of the Division of Visual & Performing Arts and the director of the McGlothlin Center for the Arts, among other roles.
