Dillon Hutton ‘20, Brings Baseball to the Fans

Hutton was a radio broadcast intern for the Bristol Pirates Baseball team.

Hutton doing a live sports talk show from a restaurant in Glade Spring This was his third season with the team. Dillon has learned the do’s and dont’s of sportscasting, and made connections with people in his desired field.

The Emory, Virginia native is passionate about sharing sports with fans as a way for people to destress from their daily lives.

This internship taught him how to filter through information and memorization, both of which he has been able to use in the classroom.

The Mass Communications major has already applied for another broadcasting internship for the spring and plans to continue with baseball broadcasting for minor leagues during the summer.
