E&H Military-Affiliated Student Center Dedicated to Quillin

The E&H Military Affiliated Student Center, located in Martin-Brock, was recently dedicated to Col. Charles M. Quillin, Jr. (’70). As E&H Veterans Services coordinator, Dr. Quillin works closely with the Department of Veterans Affairs to ensure E&H veterans, military students and dependents receive appropriate benefits. Quillin retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1995 as a Colonel. He was an instructor and fighter pilot and served as a professor of Aerospace Studies at Duke University.

Quillin then worked at Emory & Henry as the director of Institutional Advancement and senior development officer. After retiring from Emory & Henry, he was the director of operations for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) in the Pentagon. Quillin is also a commercial pilot and certified flight instructor.

    Division II Approval Pending

    Emory & Henry College has announced that it plans to join the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) in all of its NCAA-sanctioned sports. If approved for the move from Division III to Division II, the Wasps would earn provisional status in the Fall 2021 with plans to play a full conference schedule for the 2022-23 season.
