A Village of Support
Student Spotlight: Zeke Workman
Zeke Workman ’23 from Columbia, S.C., has benefited from a “village” of mentors and supporters who have guided him from childhood to his days at Emory & Henry, from which he has continued to learn the value of connections in pursuing his future.
“When I came to this campus I immediately felt welcomed by a unique sense of kindness,” Workman said, who is seeking degrees in economics, political science and Hispanic studies.
He praised the school for investing through the Connections Campaign in the Student Success Center, which, he says, masterfully guides students through the challenges of higher education and the choices they face as they consider life after college.
Emory & Henry faculty and staff “take pride in their jobs, and we as students are able to see that,” Workman said. “They help us to navigate our career desires, the highs and lows of being students, and our unique paths toward career success.”
The Emory & Henry Connections Campaign is an important step toward helping students connect with their gifts and with professionals in their fields of interests, he said. “Emory & Henry helps students transform their anxieties about the future into excitement about what is next to come.”
