Brent Butler to pursue a career in sports photography
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
Brent Butler of Roanoke, Va. will receive a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in media and communications.
Brent will graduate with the class of 2023. In addition to his studies in sport management, Butler is a photographer for E&H Wasps Athletics. “Emory & Henry has taught me a lot for example never to take the little things for granted,” Butler said. “This isn’t the biggest campus but there are so many big connections that come from Emory! I transferred to Emory during the midst of COVID, the transition was tough but my professors were very helpful the whole way through! Networking & making relationships in the business world are something that Emory & Henry has set me up for, everything is hands-on and right in front of your face!”
“I will be taking on the sports media world as a sports photographer,” Butler said of his plans after graduation. “I am spending the summer working for the Salem RedSox minor league team for the Boston RedSox doing content media & promotions in Salem, VA.”
Butler is a first-generation college student.
