McKenzie Joyce to continue education and pursue a career in teaching
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
McKenzie Joyce of Jacksonville, N.C. will receive bachelor’s degrees in history and geography.
McKenzie will graduate with the class of 2023. In addition to her studies, Joyce is a member of E&H Marching Band, Winter Guard, Concert Band, Interfaith Student Union, Zeta Phi, Housing and Residence Life, Emory Activities Board, and Phonathon. “I have learned many habits and techniques outside of my majors that have definitely helped set me up for the best success that I will continue to utilize after my graduation and when I go to get my master’s degree,” Joyce said.
Joyce said of her plans after graduation, “I will be acquiring my teaching license and will be teaching for a few years while I get my master’s degree in Speech Pathology and become a speech specialist for young children. From there I will also get my master’s in Archeology and achieve my lifelong dream of becoming an Archeologist.”
