Jacob Cordle to continue his education
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
Jacob Cordle of Honaker, Va. will receive bachelor’s degrees in media and communication and English.
Cordle will graduate with the class of 2023. “Throughout my time here, I have made strong, life-long connections with amazing people. By making said connections, I learned more about myself and what I am capable of doing,” said Cordle.
Throughout Cordle’s time at Emory & Henry, he has been involved with the Division of Student Affairs & Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging, the P.E.A.C.E program, the Whitetopper, EHC-TV, the Multicultural Student Association and Sigma Tau Delta. He also reinstated the LGBTQ+ Student Union as its president (2021-2023), and he formed Members Aiming to Reconstruct and Challenge Heteronormativity (M.A.R.C.H.). “I plan on attending a graduate program for either media studies or creative writing in a year or two,” he said.
Cordle is a first-generation college student.
