Anesia Martin to continue education at the University of Lynchburg
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
Anesia Martin of Martinsville, Va. will receive a bachelor’s degree in exercise science.
Martin will graduate with the class of 2023. She is a member of Emory Activities Board, Black Student Union, Pre-Health Club and Delta Rho Delta. “While being at Emory & Henry, it has been a roller coaster ride,” Martin said. “I came in during the COVID year so I wasn’t able to experience some of the things that many earlier and later students might have been able to experience. As the years went on I have been able to grow myself while being here.”
“Emory & Henry has really prepared me for many real-world experiences in the workforce and also in life. It has given me many opportunities that other people might not be exposed to. I have learned so much about myself while being here. I have been able to grow connections and build my academic foundation,” Martin said. After graduation, she will be pursuing a master’s degree in athletic training at the University of Lynchburg.
Martin is a first-generation college student.
