Savannah Pressley to teach journalism at Hidden Valley High School
Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.
Savannah Pressley of Roanoke, Va. will receive a master’s degree in education.
Pressley will graduate with the class of 2023. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary English with a minor in dance from Emory & Henry as well. “The Education Department of Emory & Henry has encouraged me and pushed me this year as I completed my M.ED, while also pursuing my first job as an educator,” Pressley said. “Working as a first-year teacher and being a college student was a challenge, however, having been able to have open communication with my professors has helped tremendously. They constantly went out of their way to make sure I was able to have the same experiences as everyone on campus.”
Pressley received a new job teaching journalism and yearbook at her old high school, Hidden Valley High School.
