Vanessa Hernandez lands internship at KPMG
Vanessa Hernandez ’24 interned at KMPG as a Federal Audit Intern.
Emory & Henry student Vanessa Hernandez of the Class of 2024 interned at KMPG, one of the world’s leaders in accounting. Hernandez stated about her internship, “I have been honored with the opportunity to work as a federal audit intern with KPMG for the Summer of 2023 in Washington, D.C. The Career Center is a useful tool for students looking to make the best of their degree.”
The Internship and Student Employment Program comprises the experiential education programs facet of The van Vlissingen Center for Career and Professional Development. Both programs are incredibly robust for a school the size of Emory & Henry, with 134 for-credit internships and more than 616 student employment positions during the 2022-2023 school year.
Emory & Henry students have interned at ABC Tri-Cities, BalladHealth, Barter Theatre, Brown University, CATO Institute, Clemson University, Food City, Hanging Rock State Park, HBC Certified Public Accountants, Kentucky Equine Research, KPMG, Pinilla Law Firm, Professional Golfers’ Association of America, Proyecto Peru, National Bank, Only Human Theatre Collective, U.S. Steel, UPS and Virginia Tech Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC.
