Cody Hubbard lands internship at Brown University

Cody Hubbard ’23 interned at Brown University as a Research Associate.

Cody Hubbard of the Class of 2023 interned at Ivy League Brown University as a Research Associate. Hubbard landed this opportunity with assistance from The van Vlissingen Center for Career and Professional Development at Emory & Henry College. “Together, we worked on my resume and built it into something that would be enticing to graduate schools, resulting in several interviews,” said Hubbard. “We also worked closely on interviewing and programs earlier in my academic career so I’d be prepared. The Career Center was a great help!”

The Internship and Student Employment Program comprises the experiential education programs facet of The van Vlissingen Center for Career and Professional Development. Both programs are incredibly robust for a school the size of Emory & Henry, with 134 for-credit internships and more than 616 student employment positions during the 2022-2023 school year.

Emory & Henry students have interned at ABC Tri-Cities, BalladHealth, Barter Theatre, Brown University, CATO Institute, Clemson University, Food City, Hanging Rock State Park, HBC Certified Public Accountants, Kentucky Equine Research, KPMG, Pinilla Law Firm, Professional Golfers’ Association of America, Proyecto Peru, National Bank, Only Human Theatre Collective, U.S. Steel, UPS and Virginia Tech Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC.
