Andy Rhudy Receives Second Medal of Valor

Andy Rhudy is a real life hero. But you don’t have to take our word for it, just read out this story about Andy receiving his second Medal of Valor from the Smyth County Sheriff’s department.

Andy has been recognized for his selfless and daring rescue of two different individuals – the first saw him run into a burning building and the second had him plunging into freezing waters.

Andy, and wife, Julie Pennington Rhudy (E&H ’92) have two daughters, Molly and Bonnie (a current E&H student). Read all about this brave alumnus.
