Amanda Pollard
As the Senior Associate Director - Experiential Education Programs at the van Vlissingen Center for Career and Professional Development, I provide leadership for both the Internship Program and the Student Employment Program. Under the umbrella of Experiential Education, internships and student employment are seen as key career exploration and experience tools that enhance the academic tenure of our students and help prepare them for the world-of-work.
I joined Emory & Henry College in 2006, and have proudly served as the Director of Career Services, Assistant Director-Internship Programs, and now as the Senior Associate Director-Experiential Education Programs. Prior to coming to Emory & Henry College, I also worked at Radford University and Virginia Tech, which in total brings my career services experience to over 20 years.
