Falls Prevention Center
The School of Health Sciences’ Falls Prevention Center is actively engaged with community outreach. Fall risk screenings have resumed with faculty and students working with fully vaccinated individuals at the Center and at community events. Upcoming activities include the Virginia Department of Health’s exercise initiative with the Bingocize program in partnership with the District 3 Health Cooperative in Marion and restarting the Parkinson’s Support Group meetings at the School of Health Sciences. Physical Therapy Day of Service
Physical Therapy Day of Service is a globally recognized day where Physical Therapists around the world spend the day giving back to their community. Last year, physical therapy students at Emory & Henry participated in chopping wood for cabin-building at Hungry Mother State Park. Students also spent time writing cards for the Francis Marion Manor residents.
