A variety of scholarships are available for United Methodist students who need help with tuition expenses at United Methodist-related schools. In the 2018-2019 academic year a number of scholarships will be provided through the United Methodist Dollars for Scholars program. Students’ United Methodist Churches at home, UM-related institutions of higher education, and UM Annual Conference Foundations partner with UMHEF and together provide students up to $4,000 in tuition expenses for an academic year. Other available scholarships have unique or specific criteria established by the donor. Some awards benefit students attending seminary or planning to serve in ministry, a couple are for persons planning to become military chaplains, and numerous others are specific to a certain state, conference, region, school, or area of study. There is also a scholarship that benefits a student who is deaf, blind, or hard of hearing. Find out if The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation has the perfect scholarship for you.
