Jenn Krause
Originally from the South Shore of Massachusetts, Jenn Krause has worked at Emory & Henry since the fall of 2016. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Sewanee: The University of the South, is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and earned her PhD in English from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Krause’s research interests cover a wide range of texts in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, though her main focus is American literature, 20th and 21st century postmodernism, Latinx literature, and science fiction. She is currently working on a book that looks at postcyberpunk science fiction in relation to postcolonial theory. Some of Dr. Krause’s English courses at Emory & Henry include World Literature, Literary Theory, and a Film Studies Seminar focused on Horror films. She also teaches a Core 200 course involving Robots, Cyborgs, and A.I. in literature and film, as well as a course about Afrofuturism and Black Science Fiction.
