Alexa Shockley
Why did you choose Emory & Henry College?
I chose E&H because I was offered so many opportunities including Marching Band, the Honors Program, and Bonner Scholars. Visiting campus was the final selling point because everyone I met the first day I came seemed genuinely happy with their college.
Extracurricular Interests
I am currently serving as editor-in-chief of the college newspaper, The Whitetopper. Whitetopper is going fully online and building a new website in Fall 2020. The project is going amazing so far, and we’ve only been up and running for one week! Anyone interested in being a part of Whitetopper as a writer, reporter, photographer, etc. can reach out to me at Kashockley19@ehc.edu. To check out the brand new Whitetopper website, visit Whitetopper.com!
Favorite Place on Campus
I don’t think I have a favorite place on campus, but I do walk around campus in the mornings before classes. The whole campus just seems so peaceful then.
What is one thing you want to do while in college?
I’ve already experienced so many things in the year I’ve been at E&H. I got to study abroad in Italy, I’m working for the newspaper, and I’ve gotten involved in Greek Life. I’m not sure what comes next, but I’m excited for the next few years I’ll be at E&H.
