Erin “EB” Bunn

EB is a rising junior with a double major in Civic Innovation and Psychology. She explains her reasoning for choosing Emory and Henry College as she did not want to be viewed as a statistic and felt as though EHC would provide that experience. In her words she loves all the people she has met that make Emory feel like family. She also loves the beauty of learning from everyone she interacts with. Outside of her majors EB is quite involved on campus participating in SGA, Calliopean Society, Whitetopper, DEI, LGBTQ+ Student Union, Multicultural Student Alliance, Greek Life, and Honors. She notes that Professor Scott Sikes was the reason she decided to be a Civic Innovation major as he taught her CORE100 class that touched on many concepts that make up the Civic Innovation major. She fell in love with the combination of empathy, hope, and determination to improve the world that Civic Innovation provides. The most interesting part of the major for EB is how fascinating it is to learn about the enormous extent of which reflection occurs within ourselves but also as we interact with other people. EB’s other hobbies include stress baking, painting, reading, writing, giving hugs, and her puppy. Her intent for after graduation is to attain a flight attendant certification and travel and then pursue work in the non-profit field.
