Thomas Peery

Thomas Peery, Class of 2025, is a member of the Emory & Henry College ROTC program, a program at the College that offers students the opportunity to graduate from the College with a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. “I plan on getting my commission from the Army and going into the National Guard with plans of branching into Military Intelligence or Armor,” said Thomas Peery.

Peery is a dedicated and diligent student who brings his faith into every situation and opportunity afforded to him. “If you do anything at all, do it for the Glory of God,” he said when asked what how he would guide incoming Emory & Henry College students.

Peery intends to pursue a full-time career with the Virginia State Police, as well as use his religion degree as a pastor or youth leader. With the varied and diverse education that Peery has received at Emory & Henry College and the leadership and problem-solving skills he has learned through our robust ROTC program, he is ready to take on the world. “I have learned how to better understand and work with people of all different backgrounds and beliefs through my education at Emory & Henry College.”
