Aleta Jane Hicks

Jane Hicks will publish her third collection of poetry In January 2024. The University Press of Kentucky also published her second book (Driving with the Dead) in 2014. The Safety of Small Things will be issued under the UPK imprint, Fireside Industries. This imprint is in partnership with Hindman Settlement School, a long-time affiliation and literary home for the author.

She is retired from Sullivan County, Tennessee Schools, and holds an MEd from East Tennessee State University.
