Staff Affairs Council

Mission Statement

Because an increase in excellence results when every employee of Emory & Henry College is actively participating in the education process, the Staff Affairs Council strives to provide a voice for staff to identify ways to better serve students. At the same time, the Staff Affairs Council seeks to enhance a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that leads to lives of service, productive careers, and global citizenship.

The Staff Affairs Council includes staff members from offices across the college’s various campuses. These advocates facilitate communications among staff members while promoting individual rights and addressing staff needs.

The Staff Affairs Council will make recommendations to members of the college leadership concerning policies and processes. The Council also works to promote acknowledgment of staff as valuable members of the community, such as through the Blue & Gold Award, and help staff members feel welcome within the community. Members are elected to three-year terms.
