A letter from Jared Carter ’15.

“Upon completion of my degree at E&H, I accepted an opportunity as a Strength & Conditioning Summer Intern at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. While at Purdue I assisted the full-time coaches in monitoring and coaching all fourteen Olympic sports teams including; Basketball, Soccer, Track & Field, Swim & Dive, Wrestling, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, and Tennis. When my internship came to an end, I moved into the role of Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistant at Shorter University in Rome, Georgia where I had the unique opportunity to design and implement comprehensive programs for eight individual sports teams including; Lacrosse, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, and Tennis.  I now serve the role of International Performance Coach through the Chinese Olympic Committee and PLAE Perfom, where I reside in Beijing, China overseeing training for the China Olympic Wrestling and Table Tennis Teams. I undeniably owe every opportunity I’ve been given thus far to The Lord and the people that He has placed in my life as mentors, teachers, and co-workers. Since I obviously can’t pay you back for all that you have done, I promise to pay it forward.”
