Projects
Ready to make a difference?
From service learning components of courses to on-going, long-term community based projects to internships and volunteer work, students participate in building strong communities with various partners in the surrounding area.
At the Appalachian Center for Civic Life, we encourage students to create projects around issues of interest to them.
Community Partnerships
Emory & Henry works with a wide range of local organizations offering students opportunities to be engaged in the community.
A few of these community partners are Blue Ridge Discovery Center, Damascus Trail Center, Blue Mountain Therapy, United Way, Appalachian Community Connectors, Mount Pleasant Preservation Society, YWCA, River’s Way, Communities In Schools, and many more.
