For the Media

The Office of Marketing and Communications team has established relationships with reporters and editors in newsrooms both local and national and we work with them to generate positive publicity about College accomplishments.

In addition to consistently promoting the College’s successes and impressive slate of award-winning faculty, we handle times of crisis — whether there’s an emergency that disrupts campus operations or a more complicated issue. We also serve as the primary contact for fielding queries from the media and make arrangements for interviews with faculty experts.

Media Access to the College

If you are planning to cover a story that requires contact with any member of the Emory & Henry College faculty, staff, or student body you must contact the Office of Marketing and Communications to obtain access to the campus. Call Jennifer Pearce at 276-944-6968 for assistance.

Reporters or media outlets wishing to conduct photo or video shoots on campus must obtain permission from the Office of Marketing and Communications. No media outlet will be permitted to bring any camera or recording devices on campus without prior notification and approval of some form. No on-campus live shots will be permitted of broadcast crews who have not received prior permission.

Faculty Sources on Call
