Honors Orientations

Gearing up for College…

All incoming Scholars attend Honors Orientation at Camp Lutherock as part of their first–year Honors Program experience. Throughout the orientation, students have the opportunity to get to know their classmates, upperclassmen, and professors through various levels of outdoor activities. The goal of the orientation is to build meaningful cohort cohesion to enhance students’ transition to college.

“By the end of the first night, my cohort could be seen gathered around a sand volleyball court, joking around and watching the sun go down against the awesome view of the mountains. I am incredibly thankful I had this awesome opportunity to be immersed into the Emory & Henry College community so quickly, and my experience at honors orientation only served to solidify that I made the right choice in joining the Emory & Henry Honors Program.”
