Emory & Henry College Department of Music awards performance-based scholarships in instrumental music; vocal and choral music; and marching band for incoming first-year and transfer students. These scholarships are based on an audition (audition requirements).
The Emory & Henry Music Department offers a quality music curriculum in combination with a strong foundation in the liberal arts. Classes, ensembles, performances, and private lessons offer musical experiences for majors (B.A. Music Education, B.A. Music Performance & B.A. Music) and non-majors alike. With a talented and dedicated music faculty ensures personal attention to each individual student’s musical growth. The music department seeks to provide opportunities for students to grow into independent, informed, and creative musicians who will serve as advocates for our art in and out of the music profession. Both music majors and those with significant talent who want to further develop their musical interests while studying in another academic discipline are encouraged to audition.
