Emory & Henry senior Caroline Mosteller to pursue graduate school at JMU

Our Emory & Henry graduates are preparing to graduate and change the world.

In May 2020, Caroline Mosteller will graduate with a degree in Civic Innovation. Mosteller credits her post-graduation plans to thesupport and mentorship she received at Emory & Henry.

“Emory & Henry prepared me for the real world by constantly pushing me to break through my comfort zone enough to discover new passions,” says Mosteller. “Before Emory & Henry, I had placed certain expectations on myself to pursue a very specific career path, but thanks to the Housing & Residence Life staff and Dean Bowyer, I found new passions that I will be pursuing.”

While on campus, Mosteller was a member of the Honors Program, Phi Eta Sigma Honors Society, and Zeta Phi sorority. She was also a Resident Advisor and inaugural McPherson Center student coordinator. Additionally, Mosteller interned in the Spiritual Life office and was the president of Encounter and founder of Cultivate.

“Civic Innovation, Travis Proffitt, and Tal Stanley helped me recognize the importance of community and how to take theory into practice,” says Mosteller. 

After graduation, Mosteller will be pursuing a Masters of Education degree in College Student Personnel Administration at James Madison University, where she will also be serving as a graduate Hall Director.
