Emory & Henry senior Anna Mishoe earns Psychology degree

Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.

In May 2020, Anna Mishoe will graduate with a degree in Psychology.

“Emory & Henry has prepared me for the real world by helping me to branch out more and become more confident in myself,” says Mishoe. “It has helped me manage my time with my school work and extracurricular activities.”

Mishoe was heavily involved in Fraternity and Sorority life on campus. She was a member of Alpha Beta Chi, a representative on the Greek Council, and served as the vice president of the Greek Council. 

“I am so very glad that I joined a sorority because it taught me that it is okay to voice my opinion and to also keep an open mind to other’s opinions,” says Mishoe. “ABX also made me a better friend to others and a better friend to myself. I have embraced who I am and have become much more confident in myself.”

Mishoe says the faculty pushed her to the best of her abilities. 

“Dr. Gaia was my advisor and I cannot thank her enough for all she has done for me during my years at Emory & Henry,” says Mishoe. “She helped me plan out my college career and has helped me make a plan for the future.”

After graduation, Mishoe hopes to attend an Occupational Therapy program.

“I am very thankful for the opportunity to attend E&H and for all the experiences that have helped shape me into the person I am today,” Mishoe says.
