Emory & Henry senior Caleb Wallace to pursue masters degree in Economics

Our Emory & Henry seniors are preparing to graduate and change the world.

In May 2020, Caleb Wallace will graduate with a degree in Mathematics and Economics.After graduation, Wallace plans to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to pursue a masters degree in Economics.

“Without Dr. Li, and the countless amount of hours she spent helping me in office hours, a Mathematics degree would have been unfeasible,” says Wallace. “Dr. Spencer ultimately inspired me to choose to further my education in Economics. She was instrumental in my development as a student.”

On campus, Wallace was a member of the baseball team, member of the Honors Program, and a math tutor in the Quantitative Learning Center.

“As for my athletics experience, Coach McCall, Coach Schaffner, and Coach Kuczko were all instrumental in molding me into a better baseball player, teammate, competitor, and person as a whole,” says Wallace. “I undoubtedly spent the most time with these three individuals out of anyone at the College outside of my teammates, and I learned valuable lessons from all three men both on and off the field.”

 Wallace says the amazing opportunities he was provided through the Honors Program tremendously enriched his experience at Emory & Henry. 

“Dr. Boltwood guided me as a student and shed light on the importance of pushing myself in the classroom as part of the Honors Program,” says Wallace.
