“Emory & Henry prepared me for this opportunity by providing the knowledge and assistance as well as having a relationship with VCOM,” says Carter. “The Pre-Health advisors are tremendous about sharing information, answering questions, and helping students stay on track to meet their goals.”

Carter is the second Emory & Henry student to receive this honor. The program accepts a small set of rising juniors because of their interest in, and commitment to, practicing in rural regions. Carter has a strong interest in wilderness medicine, mission work and in making a positive difference in his community.
