Jaynae Wright pursues graduate studies at University of Virginia

Jaynae Wright ’23 is pursuing graduate and doctorate degrees at the University of Virginia.

Jaynae Wright of Cleveland, Tenn. graduated from Emory & Henry with the Class of 2023. She will continue her graduate studies at the University of Virginia as a Ph.D. Fellow in Psychology. “I leave Emory & Henry with deep gratitude for the Career Center that has polished me to compete for fellowships on a national level,” said Wright. “It allowed me to achieve my dream of attending the University of Virginia to obtain my master’s in public policy and my doctorate in education policy. I am fortunate to have benefited from the center’s growth thanks to the generosity of John and Marine van Vlissingen.”

Wright studied Economics, Business Administration and Public Policy at Emory & Henry. As a student, she was the Student Government Association President.

The IMPACT of John and Marine van Vlissingen’s gift pledge can easily be measured by the outcomes of students and recent graduates who utilized the diverse array of career development services and career opportunities offered by the Center. A sample of successful career destinations represents a cohort of students landing incredible careers before and after graduation. The Career Center staff provided advising in both in-person and virtual settings to help all Emory & Henry students and recent graduates to become “Career & Life Ready.”
