Emory & Henry College Welcomes the Community to Friends and Family Fall Festival

We’re welcoming guests to campus during Family & Friends Fall Festival on Saturday, September 29, including E&H Women’s Soccer and E&H Rugby Team games.

“We’re excited to invite families, parents, students and the surrounding community to our Emory campus for some weekend fun,” said VP for Student Life & Student Success John Holloway. “Coming to see our soccer and rugby matches free of charge will be lots of fun with food trucks, live DJ music and even a beer garden for adults. We’re fortunate to have a club Rugby and would love to share it with the community.”

The weekend is packed with activities both on campus and in the local area. Fans of E&H Athletics will find Saturday’sBring the Stingrally at 11 a.m. a great kick-off for a family-fun day of sports at the Fred Selfe Stadium, with Women’s Soccer playing at 1 p.m. and the E&H Rugby team playing later in the day at 4 p.m.

To go along with the athletic competitions on Saturday is a Fun Fair, sponsored by student organizations, which includes activities like face painting, cornhole, and Cheer/Dance Team lessons. Food trucks and beer garden will be available for lunch, as well as DJ music provided by WEHC 90.7 FM.

The Quality Inn of Abingdon has reserved a block of rooms for a discounted rate of $92 a night for the visiting family members. Registration for the weekend can be found atwww.ehc.edu/fallfest. No registration is needed to attend the games and Fun Fest.
