I became involved in Simulation during my doctoral program and enjoy working with students to develop skills in nursing practice.

I have had the pleasure of being a nurse educator since 2009 at Capital University (Ohio), Carson-Newman University (TN) and now at Emory & Henry College. I have an extensive professional career in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing and this is a TRUE passion for me. I have work with severely mentally ill clients, substance abuse/ chemically dependent, homeless dual diagnosis, criminal justice team, and deaf population. My early nursing career led me to working on cardiac telemetry units and being part of the Code Blue teams and Cardiac transplant teams.
