CJ Poulsen
My name is CJ Poulsen and I am currently doing research with Hypericum perforatum, commonly called St. John’s Wort. It is a type of plant shown to have anti-depressant effects, and its active compounds can be found at your local pharmacy bottled up! My research is aiming to influence the amount of these active compounds produced by the taxa by manipulating the pathway that produces them. This connected course points throughout biochemistry, molecular biology, as well as genetics to produce an understanding of the process as a whole.
