Shauna Large
Shauna Large, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner since 2003. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and briefly provided primary care to patients at a rural health clinic in Southwest Virginia. She has practiced chiefly in the field of Gastroenterology/Hepatology in both Virginia and Tennessee. As a GI Nurse Practitioner for more than 15 years, Shauna has extensive experience caring for patients with chronic illnesses including GERD, colitis, chronic viral hepatitis and cirrhosis. In addition to clinical practice, Shauna has worked with pharmaceutical companies to provide medication education for medical professionals and taught briefly at South College as adjunct faculty. Shauna received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Radford University in 2000 and MSN from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2003. She is board certified by the ANCC and is a member of the American Nursing Association. She continues to practice actively as a Nurse Practitioner.
