Frauke C. Seefeldt-Argyros

Lab Manager and Instructor of Natural Sciences Departments: Biology/Chemistry

After an initial focus in environmental biology during my undergraduate/graduate school years in Germany (Osnabrück, Hannover), in Graduate School at Northeastern University (Boston) I discovered my interest in microbiology and conducted research in infectious disease at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and VA Medical Center labs in Boston, MA, working with Helicobacter pylori, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Mycobacterium avium.

Later on, I worked as an Epidemiologist for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, taught part-time at Boston College’s School of Advancing Studies, and then spent many years as a Biology Lab Manager and part-time Instructor at Northeastern University, Boston.

At Emory & Henry College, I am supporting the Biology and Chemistry Departments as a Lab Manager and Lab Instructor (General Biology, Microbiology, and General Chemistry). My research interests revolve around topics of antibiotic resistance in bacteria and biofilms.
