Afton Cope
Afton Cope MSN, APRN, FNP-BC has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner since 2017. Her prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner includes hospital medicine as a nocturnist at Johnston Memorial Hospital and outpatient Gastroenterology. She has experience in treating a wide array of chronic and acute illnesses in both the hospital and outpatient settings. She received her BSN from ETSU in December of 2013. She practiced as a nurse in a variety of areas including respiratory PCU and Labor and Delivery, before going back to get her master’s degree. She has been an adjunct instructor with Emory and Henry School of Nursing since May of 2022. She currently resides in East Tennessee with her husband and her beloved pets (3 dogs and 2 cats). In her free time, she enjoys going on Disney cruises and spending time in the outdoors.
