Nicole Frederick

Nicole Frederick, DNP, APRN, ACCNS-AG, CCRN-K, TCRN is a board-certified Clinical Nurse Specialist specializing in Trauma, Acute Care Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Burn. She is the Program Director of the Clinical Nurse Specialist MSN program and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Emory and Henry College.

Dr. Frederick obtained her BSN from West Texas A&M University in 2008 and began working in the Intensive Care Unit at John Peter Smith Hospital, a Level One Trauma Center in Fort Worth, Texas. There, she obtained her specialty certifications in critical care, cardiac surgery, and trauma nursing. During her tenure there, Dr. Frederick obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Texas Christian University as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. She then began working at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, also in Fort Worth, as the Trauma Clinical Nurse Specialist and worked to help the hospital achieve its Level One Trauma Center Designation. At Harris Methodist, Dr. Frederick coordinates all surgical and trauma research and QI projects and is a non-physician faculty member for the ACGME-accredited General Surgery Residency program.

Dr. Frederick has taught in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Texas Christian University and is a sought-after lecturer at national and local conferences. She has served on multiple committees with her professional organizations, AACN and NACNS and has served as a peer reviewer for the Gastroenterology Nursing Journal. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her dog, Addison, and her two nieces.
